Born in Truth or Consequences has shaped Nicci’s outlook on life to be a black and white Rube Goldberg machine. She has always been drawn to the Truth. She uses a lot of colors and stark contrasts to convey how she visually perceives the world, in both representational and abstract paintings as well as digital collage.
She enjoys making installations because she loves immersive experiences. Death, the path to find completion, and the universe are her influences. With paintings she work with layering different types of paint and other materials.
Through interactive pieces, she entices the participant to have more awareness through the experience, and leave stimulated and reflective.
